Wing Chun Grandmaster & Fine Artist
Samuel Kwok was born in Hong Kong, he has spent 45 years training and promoting the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu. Samuel is a disciple of the two sons of the famous IP Man and other students of Grandmaster IP Man – Bruce Lee’s teacher’s aim was to protect and preserve IP Man Wing Chun. To improve people’s health and help people to apply the principle and philosophy of Wing Chun in life. This evolved to more than 36 countries of teaching. Samuel has taught and trained many famous Martial Artists GM Rondy McKee, GM Cynthia Rothrock , Carl Van Metten Peter Constertine and World Champions like Paddy Monaghan, Quentin Chong. Samuel has held joint seminars with Grandmaster Carlson Gracie (BJJ). And the famous director and stunts Art Camacho, actor Steven Seagal and Dr Robert Goldman, Action Actor Muay Thai fighter Simon Kook, Crystal Santos to name a few. He starred in the movie Assassin X ( The Chemist) with Grandmaster Eric Lee, using pure Wing Chun Kung Fu and helped with IP Man movie, and the documentary 40 years anniversary of Bruce Lee’s Enter The Dragon. Author of 5 books and many Wing Chun DVDs. Samuel has created an IP Man Wing Chun App to help people to learn Wing Chun. He became inductees and revived many awards of various Arts Hall of Honors.
Art Education
Grandmaster Samuel Kwok was trained in fine art by the renowned artist Pan Qiaofeng and received an award from her in 1969. He has been creating art for over 50 years, honing his talent and refining his skills.
Pan Qiaofeng
Pan Qiaofeng, born in May 1913, is a native of Shunde, Guangdong . Graduated from the Pattern Department of Guangzhou Fine Arts School, and graduated from the Art Department of the University of Tokyo, Japan, and returned to China to teach in Zhenguang and Peizhong. Xie’en, St. Mark’s school (Hong Kong) Deming Academy, and Qiaofeng Painting Academy. The Ministry of Education sponsored the National Art Exhibition and was selected as the representative of Guangdong and won the award. She has served as a reviewer for many Hong Kong artist group exhibitions. She has served as a reviewer for the Art Poultry Examination of the Department of Education. Held several solo exhibitions and teacher and student exhibitions. Her creations include “Drawings of Du Fu’s Poems”, “Poems and Paintings of Autumn Hate on the Road”, “Illustrations of the Western Regions”, “Good Friends” and “Today’s World” pictorial selections. The murals include the inlaid “Confucius Travels Around the World” mural in the Kowloon Peninsula Ambassador Hotel Building in Hong Kong, the pattern on the top of the monument in Songhuangtai Park, and the mural “Lin Tu Yushu” in front of the Dacheng Middle School. Author of “A Brief History of Chinese Art.” In 1974, she moved to the West Coast of the United States and continued to advocate art.
